Vision
ESEP aims at being a school that teaches more meaningful, people-focused practices and how to play an active role within healthcare-related processes. So, ESEP aims at being a reference for the teaching of Nursing, standing out for:
• The excellence of its teaching/learning process;
• The development of specific skills in the Nursing area;
• Its innovation in terms of models of assistance provision. ESEP believes that Nursing is centred on transition processes that are focused on people, their families and their background, and invests on learning as an evolutionary, pro-active process in which the students themselves develop valid skills that can be applied in different contexts.

Mission
ESEP's mission is to provide education courses, as well as other training programmes, that are aimed at the development of skills within the Nursing field. Simultaneously, ESEP also has the mission of promoting research and development programmes that may generate, both new disciplinary knowledge, and healthcare innovation. So, while seeking the maximum effectiveness of its action, ESEP strategically promotes its relationships with other national and international organizations and networks.
